Brought to you by The Lunar Foundation and the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce, our event at Distribution Hall was a vibrant celebration of AAPI culture, bringing together an amazing variety of vendors, food, and performances. The market featured over 50 local vendors and artists, highlighting unique and Austin-based AAPI-owned businesses. Guests enjoyed delicious bites, cultural performances, and interactive activities, supporting local artists and entrepreneurs while celebrating community.

Activities & Prizes

Cosplay Walk: Attendees arrived in cosplay for our free raffle, with prizes like:

• 1 Family Pack of Greater Austin Comic Con tickets (2 adults, 2 kids), provided by Greater Austin Comic Con

• 1 James Hong autograph, provided by Greater Austin Comic Con

• $250 cash prize, provided by Okashicon.

Food Eating Contests: Participants had the chance to compete in various eating contests: 

• The Ultimate Bao Battle. Mama Zhao donated 1,000 baos to contestants vying to eat as many as possible! The winner won a $50 gift card to Bao’d Up.

• Rangoon Showdown. Contestants scarfed down Tso Chinese’s famous crab rangoons to win $100 to Tso Chinese.

• Dang Hot Challenge. Using the contestants as guinea pigs, Tso Chinese tested out the spice level for their new chicken wings dish. The winner won $100 to Tso Chinese.

AACHI Raffle: Proceeds benefited the Austin Asian Community Health Initiative (AACHI). 3 raffle prizes included:

• Pet Lovers Package: A gift basket from Wag Heaven (value $250)

• Digital Explorer Package 1: Two (2) Consensus 2024 Passes (value $1999/ticket) + One (1) Austin Domain from Unstoppable Domains (value $250)

• Digital Explorer Package 2: Two (2) Consensus 2024 Passes (value $1999/ticket) + One (1) Austin Domain from Unstoppable Domains (value $250)

VeraBank’s “How Many Marbles”: Guests guessed for a chance to win four (4) suite-level tickets to see Jhené Aiko at the Moody Center.
